Do you want to meet new people, learn some fabulous things and have some fun along the way?
BOATFEST has one of Australia’s greatest and most passionate volunteer committees but we will also require around 100-120 volunteers daily to ensure the event can operate at the optimum level. If you have two or so hours on one of the event days and some time to attend a pre event briefing session then, we would love to hear from you and include you in this great event.
The objective of this position is to assist with special functions, programs, projects and/or programs as directed. Duties will be decided based on skills and abilities of volunteers.
Some of the jobs you might volunteer for include:
Helping park hundreds of boats in New Port Quays and around Hart’s Mill Wharf
Assisting with surveys of visitors to the event
Information booth and welcome guides
Parking direction and assistance
Loop Shuttle Bus supervisors
Boat owner liaison during the event
Merchandise sales and information
Community Group liaison
And, many more

Help set up and pack away materials and equipment
Sign in on arrival and sign out when you leave
Maintain a smoke-free work environment
Be punctual and inform your Volunteer Coordinator if you cannot attend or will be late
Work cooperatively with staff, other volunteers
Adhere to organisational Work Health & Safety requirements
Abide by any rules or regulations relevant to the BOATFEST 2018 volunteer program
Be aware of any risks and the control measures in place for the role
Report any accidents in the workplace to key contacts and relevant staff
Promote a positive image of BOATFEST in all dealings with members of the public
Assist the general public with directions around the site
